Earlier Booking Means More Savings for Flights

Image
I was thinking of the folly I had of making "last minute bookings" which caused me a lot of money because they were quite high.  However I began to be aware how much less hassle it is to book quite early than much later.  Why?  Promo fares means you spend a lot less than last minute bookings.  So I did think of it that much recently, not only am I involved in arranging early trips but also in registering to whoever goes to the group trip.  That way, I could save more money than if I made a late registration.  Other benefits I've enjoyed are a longer planning period, more time to enjoy myself after work is done and if not, more time to clarify and check for mistakes that are going on.  And guess what- by early bookings I have also done a great service as a customer in making their work less tedious as well.  See how happy the airplane is?  LOL!!!!  So I do hope you all do the same with this lesson...

Sbarro's Funny Commercial... and MY FAVORITE! :P

Image
This is one of my favorite commercials as a taxi cab drives in the mall which is virtually impossible while they were in search for Sbarro, one of my favorite Italian restaurants.  Well it's a laughing gimmick to avoid boredom.  Also a yellow cab seems to be very symbolic as well... anybody can guess?  My only guess to a yellow cab is because of Italy.  My reaction?  It would be fun IF this company also tried superheroes looking for the place all over. :P

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?

Image
Here's one of those old songs that I'll never forget.  It does carry some meaning.  After all, based on its history, Pete Seger in 1956 saw the slogan that said, "Where are the flowers, the girls have plucked them. Where are the girls, they've all taken husbands. Where are the men, they're all in the army."  The lines were taken from a traditional Cossack song.  It was first a medley then it got more lyrics from Joe Hickerson.   More versions came, some better, some worse... and I like this song so much for some reason.  And the older versions are just my favorite especially the Kings Trio who later acknowledged Pete Seger and Joe Hickerson.  So I hope this anti-war song will communicate to us...

Some Types of Couples that Don't MATCH

Image
Here are some types of couples that just DON'T MATCH:

The overly serious with the cheery type...

Between two people who have the same values that oppose each other like both are high-strung or selfish

A slacker and a serious student (not exactly overly serious) can't get along since there's no common ground to help look for income.

Two people with different views of justice...

Some Anti-Climatic Endings For ANY Fictional Series....

Image
I was thinking in making a J-Drama, Chinese drama, Tokusatsu, whatever... there could be some anti-climatic endings that could happen and here are some of them...

You're suddenly going to kill one of the characters in the end for no apparent reason.  See that expression?  WHY?!!!!

The leading man/lady suddenly gets an electric shock to conclude the series... rather than from dying from a progressive disease.  Wow what an ending!

Or I'd like to say that while I was watching the drama "Eight Kingdoms" seriously think it's too anti-climatic when the protagonist just committed suicide in the end... well after seeing that stupid "WTF" ending I don't want to rewatch that whole series again!  I'd rater watch Poor Prince than how this ended!  LOL!  Or Jetman's Gai Yuki dying at the end by a thug.

Deceived By First Impressions!

Image
There's always the expression of, "Because first impressions LAST."  How true.  Most people stay deceived by first impressions, refuse to believe the truth they hear from others and all because of what?  Because they were DECEIVED by then... first impression.  Wow just imagine!  People are so easily deceived by what they saw without assessing the deeper details.  So here's an example of deceived by first impression...

Everybody thinks the weird guy is stupid through and through without knowing the vast intelligence he has...

You consider the harsh, strict speaker to be unfriendly and a jerk...

You would easily label a pretty girl a slut and non-credible...

Or you fail to see inner beauty because one is ugly...

You are easily deceived by the charismatic player...

My Favorite Mozart Piece of All Time

Image
As much as I am a huge fan of Mozart (well don't expect me to open a music blog soon, I'm not a musician), there was one symphony of his that whenever his name is mentioned, it is that piece that enters into my head.  It's called the Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.  I personally find this to be the best Mozart song ever since it was the very piece that slowly but surely made me from hating classical music to loving it.  And I guess it deserves the opinion of many including myself that it is his best masterpiece.  What was said though, this work wasn't published until the death of the composer.  Hmmm will this piece also be used on Tokusatsu when they decide to put some classical music into background use?  Hopefully... or did I hear this sonata from Kamen Rider Kiva?!

Trying to Test the Blogger New Interface

I was thinking that it might be time to actually get on with the new Blogger interface though I am afraid it will take time to adjust.  As said, newer doesn't always mean better even in technological advancements.  I've experienced that in using several versions of office applications, some of them are frustrating me as the older version may be easier to use.  Okay so I wonder why is Blogger actually trying to use this new interface.  I'll just have to try and check what is new and perhaps say that the new interface is better than the old one.  Right now, I am even feeling that I may enjoy this new interface and another feeling that I won't.  So how's your interaction with blogger's new interface?  Kindly voice out... I'm just starting to use it!  So if you're an IT/CS expert, I hope you can comment and talk about it too... that is because you're WAY more knowledgeable in that area than I ever will be.

When Carrots Become Killers

Image
Okay it is definitely something that some people say, "Oh as long as it's natural it's good for you."  Oh really?  Seriously here's an issue- anything in excess can kill you even if it's meant to be beneficial and also, not everything natural is good for you.  Poisons, dirt, saturated fats, etc. are natural yet the KILL the person.  This would actually derive to where people overindulge with CARROTS.  That's right- carrots.  Okay, carrots are antioxidants, used to kill bad cells, there is no question to that even if you're no scientist.  However carrots being rich in Vitamin A has this fact- too much of carrots means it will store in the LIVER.  It's no water soluble, it's FAT soluble.  The liver filters the body and that's where the excess Vitamin A is stored, which can result from eating too much of carrots than required.  Here's a little bit of a result of what happens...

Not only do you become like a rabbit but also...

The Wonka Everlasting Gobstoppers

Image
Well there was the "everlasting gobstopper" in the Willy Wonka film and it was named as the "Wonka Everlasting Gobstopper" as some sort of gimmick as well as the Willie Wonka Candy Company by Nestle.  Okay they're NOT everlasting but I find it funny if any sucker should believe it... well fortunately I wasn't.  However I did remember eating one of these during a birthday party when I was a kid.  Yeah right, well I guess they should remove "everlasting" from the title and just use the name "Gobstopper" instead or maybe not, because the people know already it's not everlasting.  Just suck long enough and they become chewable- and this became one my routines to cease smoking.  Well it was fun while I chewed it until I finished off the candy.

A Few Ironies I'm Running Into...

Image
Well here are a few ironies I do run into these days...

Some smokers still look younger than they really are... Gong Li is in her 40s but looks very young (and believe me I'm a Chinese movie fanatic more than I ever watch Tokusatsu), Emma Roberts who is in her 20s smokes but still looks like a teenager or perhaps one of my favorites, Toshihide Wakamatsu who really smokes is in his late 40s but looking 30s (after twenty years of not showing up for Tokusatsu and seeing him do J-Dramas hey what's that guy's secret?!)... sigh that's just PLAIN weird for me.  Hey what if they're just occasional smokers like I was before?!  Or I do admit I know somebody who's in his 70s, still looking young despite the fact he's always smoking... CRAZY!  Maybe the lung disease they have will trigger when they're much older?!

Sometimes it's the health freak that hits by a life threatening disease.  Then again, not so ironic if the person is taking too much carrots.  I'…
